Cost Saving Tip #1

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

Often during the course of any build, a contractor will send the homeowner to a standard supplier in order to shop for things like faucets and lighting, tile and hardwoods. This is a fine practice, and often you can find really good deals at the builder’s supplier of choice. However, wouldn’t it be better if you had options. That’s the philosophy we adopted in forming our company. We want to get you the most house for the least amount of money. In line with this idea, we allow you to shop for faucets and lights and even front doors wherever you like. We’ll even help. We spend hours scouring the internet, local suppliers and retail stores for closeouts, wholesale deals, and low cost items for your home. Shopping for fixtures at places other than building supply outfits can actually translate to quite a savings. Even if you only save $50 on a kitchen sink or $100 on a lampost, you will soon realize how quickly these small savings can add up. Sites like Ebay and Craigslist, for instance, can be invaluable resources when building a home. We encourage our homeowners to check out sites such as these for items that may not seem to be within the budget upon first look. You’d be surprised what you can do if you’re allowed to shop anywhere.
